Come hither mortal, dweller of Midgard. Please listen to this tale, and hope it will aid you in your understanding of the mortal Greg Chambers. Greg Chambers hails from the tiny kingdom of Newcastle, CA. There he lived in a flourishing orchard that encoumpassed his humble home. He is a man of Newcastle, who cares deeply for the land and its battles. For twenty years young Greg (also known as Arturo the Wise, Eljucee the Latin Lover, and Balder the Brave) lived within the confines of the tiny tow. He and his wolf-pug Fred roamed the land riding his noble black mustang (Born in 1966 in Ford's stable), and his results were impressive enough to gain Odin's audience. Quests of knowledge were bested, and feats of strength mastered each fall on the gridiron at the arena of Del Oro.
But Lo, the time has come for the young Chambers to shake the dust off his boots and embark on the ultimate quest of knowledge. Now in Chico, he must master the devine art of English in so he can return to Newcastle and teach young warriors this art of battle. What age the young Chambers will teach is still being decided by the fates, but soon they will weeve the answer into the grand tapestry of his life.
Please read these blogs and contest any points that are put forth and also offer advise. After all, young Greg (Son of the Ogre, Eugene) is a mere mortal who is by no means perfect.
Onward, to battle!
The Mighty Thor
Now that Thor is done babbling, let me tell you a little about something that is actually important and serious to me. As you may gather, I am a comic book nerd, a former football player and sports fan, and a lover of classic cars. However, when truly examining Greg Chambers, please throw those matters of irrelevance on the trash heap.
I am of Portuguese and Italian descent, and I am an old soul. I care deeply about my heritage. The name Chambers comes from the dash of English that is in my blood, but when boiled down I am half Portuguese, one quarter Italian, and a blend of English, Irish, and German. I am still learning how the Italians, English, Irish, and German which is in me managed to come to America and become a part of me (poor book keeping a few generations back).
However, I can trace my Portuguese ancestry back to the Azores, specifically Terceira and Sao Miguel. My family was fortunate enough to be able to come to America in the late 1950's because of JFK fighting for the islanders of Fial. Their island was devestated by a volcano, so the United States stepped in and opened migration. Subsequently, my family that was on Fial started the journey, tearing up roots that layed thousands of years and planting new ones in California. My immediate family followed.
I can go on about the particulars, which happen to be intresting to some parties, but that would drag this blog on even more. I will say this though- I respect the bravery of those pioneers of my family and the tremendously hard work they did to lay a foundation for my family. They may not have made much money, they may have had elementary school education, and they may have had humble homes, nevertheless they were every bit as successful as your garden variety miliionair. Their children became "profesionals", as will some of the grandkids. So when reading my work on this site, know that these souls have influenced my views greatly.
